TL;DR

  • A Samsung Korea representative has revealed that the One UI 4.0 beta is coming “soon.”
  • The beta will come to Galaxy S21 series phones.
  • There’s no word on wider availability just yet.

Samsung is arguably the most impressive Android brand right now when it comes to updates, and it looks like the firm isn’t wasting any time with Android 12, either.

A community manager on Samsung’s Korean forums (h/t: SamMobile) confirmed that the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 beta is “coming soon” to the Galaxy S21 series. The representative also posted an image in Korean, detailing the program. You can view it below.

“Be the first to experience the new Galaxy interface with Android 12 on the Galaxy S21 series!” reads a machine-translated excerpt of the image. The image also notes that this applies to carrier and unlocked Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra devices.

The image also encourages users to visit the Samsung Members app and find the relevant banner/notice to sign up for the One UI 4.0 beta. It’s unclear whether registrations are currently open for Korean users as yet.

This likely means the One UI 4.0 beta can’t be far away for users in other markets. So hopefully S21 series owners in Europe, North America, and other regions can register soon as well.

We’re expecting the new One UI skin to offer Android 12 features like a color extraction tool for themes, tweaked quick tiles, and a privacy dashboard. But what would you like to see from One UI 4.0 though? Let us know in the comments!
